Manshan by Oravida is a fine dining experience fusing New Zealand's ingredients with traditional Chinese cuisine.

The design intent is to create a spatial experience of going underground to discover the aquifer, where we can find the purest water in the world. a destination where customers can find calm. A place where they can “just be”. ​The restaurant is entered via a cave-like tunnel, it transports the guest from the hectic city to a dark lounge area. The dark wood treatment of the space conveys a sense of being inside a cave. Perforated metal sliding partitions softly separates the dark lounge and the brighter dining area. This is where the aquifer is found, a dining experience submersed in a body of water.
